A lifelong athlete, Matt grew up in Pointe Claire (Quebec) where he participated in numerous sports, namely rugby, hockey and sprint canoe. In 2000, he completed his bachelors in Electrical Engineering at McGill University. During his studies, he discovered the world of dragon boat with the arrival of the sport in Montreal in 1996. He is one of the first to get join the national team in 1999.
On top of his work at 22Dragons, Matt is the president of Dragon Boat Canada, which is one of the most important organizations in the IDBF (International Dragon Boat Federation). He has also coached the Canadian women's national team since 2011, winning world titles in 2011, 2013 and 2015.
Matt grew up a block away from the local canoe club where he began competing in sprint canoe at an early age. In 1996, he discovered the world of dragon boat during his studies. Matt was a member of the Canadian national dragon boat team from 1998 to 2002 and won 5 world titles in 2001. In 2013 and 2015, Matt coached the Canadian Premier Open national team at the Dragon Boat World Championships, winning 3 medals in the process.
He has a bachelors in Education from McGill University. He has also contributed to Dragon Boat Canada's coaching certification program and is one of their instructors.

Lyne grew up in the countryside. She moved to Montreal to complete her studies in tourism. A world traveler, she then moved to Europe and discovered many countries. When she got back home she earned her bachelors in translation from Laval University. At the end of her studies, she travelled to the other side of the planet, Brasil. Upon her return in spring 2010, she met Matt & Matt who hired her via Skype and started work 3 days after arriving back in Quebec.
Lyne is currently studying at HEC Montreal to earn a certificate in Business Management.
